There is a certain level of nostalgia that is triggered when we draw closer to the end of a year that evokes so many emotions. At TT NGO News this is the time of the year that we look back on the highlights, analyze missteps and renew our dedication to the New Year ahead.
This is an exercise that we encourage NGOs to adopt as looking back helps to charter a new and more effective way forward. This year, we were honored to be able to continue our mandate to cover non-profit news and share information on local funding opportunities, employment in the local non-profit sector with NGOs in Trinidad and Tobago.
Some of our 2017 highlights include:
Our 2017 NGO Professionals Seminar
We were excited to have so many NGO’s benefit from this year’s conference focused on Social Entrepreneurship. Here is a recap of the events of that day http://bit.ly/2sxNQVk and relive some memories in our photo album http://bit.ly/2rAGprZ
It was our fifth year for the JB Fernandes Award for NGO Excellence. We were pleased to present this prestigious Award to the Caribbean Kids and Families Therapy Organization (CKFTO) as they demonstrated a national model of excellence, improving their communities and utilizing best practices in non-profit management.
